Location, location, location! Being on the beach was the best! Loved looking out at the ocean. The facilities were a bit outdated, but everything was clean enough. The location was nice and quiet, away from the beaten path and away from downtown La Jolla. Plenty of eating places within walking distance of the hotel. Easy enough to find parking on the street (free!), to avoid paying $40\night parking fee in the hotel garage.

Amazing view when you book the beachfront room which I highly recommend. The hotel is well located with walking distance to restaurants and stores.
