"The house itself is good, comfortable, and fairly reflects the listing, with ample space for a large house party. However, our otherwise enjoyable experience was let down by the lack of attention to detail, in terms of house-keeping and maintenance/repair. When paying a top-end price (about 7k for 4 nights) it was disappointing that several lights did not work (including bathroom lights, dining room main light, bathroom mirror light), the Aga never got up to cooking temperature even after 4 days...

"The property has a high standard, there are a few things however that could be improved on. Wardrobe space is sadly lacking and could be placed on the landing. Also a chair in the bedroom. Please dont be so stringy with the toilet rolls. Willprobably"

"The property was ideal for a long weekend we had planned with friends, situated in front of a footpath that led to the park & lovely canel walk. The pool table was a great hit. There some maintenance that needed doing while we at the house which was dealt with by the host very efficiently. There a few cleanliness issues we had to raise with the hosts and they responded immediately to assure us they would be addressed with the cleaners. "I travel a lot for work and stay in many different places, but not often I find a place that is as good as home. The primary bed was very large and comfortable with a variety of pillow types. It was dark and quiet at night. The bathroom was large with a modern rain shower or soaker tub....the choice is yours. Kitchen had everything you'd need to cook for yourself and the choice of living spaces were generous. Ground floor living room has a wood burning stove which I hope to enjoy when I come...

"We used this property for one part of the family as we had outgrown my daughters house nearby. It was an excellent base and they were thrilled by the lovely Christmas hamper and decorations. I’m sure we would like to use it again"

"The property is great for up to 6 people. Clean, tidy and well equipped. Parking for 2 cars is a bit of an issue, but manageable. Great place and we will likely be back."
