"We had a fabulous two night stay. Staff were wonderful throughout our stay, made us very welcome. Hôtel is charming and our room was spacious and can fault anything about it. One of the best places we stayed. Big shout out to Caroline who arranged for a little surprise for my husband and to the lovely lady who served us behind the bar. ( we didn’t get her name) We will definitely be coming back. "

"I booked the Novotel months ago, this was changed to the Mercure but not by me weeks ago. I received the customary welcome email 24 hours before from the Mercure. I arrived at my hotel and wasn’t able to gain entry - eventually someone arrived to say I’d be transferred to The Novotel. On arrival at The Novotel I explained the position and quite frankly the reception staff weren’t interested - no comment and no apology. "See below list of issues: Damaged & dirty furniture in the bedroom. Mattress needed replacing. Bathroom - dated shower, toilet not flushing, extractor dirty and damaged. Emergency signage, non existent. The hotel reception over charged us with no apology, they took our credit card away from reception and ~I demand they haver to return with it. "
