"Our trip to this hotel was overall a pleasant experience, however a couple of items regarding this hotel need to be addressed. 1. The carpets areceorn and dirty, they need changing or at the very least cleaning. 2. The hot water in the shower takes too long to heat up (approximately a minutes) 3. "The Alma Lodge Guest House is Conveniently situated with easy off street parking. Very comfortable room. Excellent facilities and wide choice of breakfast. Wonderful host, very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend. Thank you"

"Contrary to some reviews i have read about this establishment, we were very impressed! The staff were really lovely and very helpful, friendly and efficient. The room was clean,well appointed and quiet. We ate there both evenings of our stay and i honestly couldn't fault our meals in any way. Simply delicious and plenty of it. Breakfast was also very good and massive! We will definately be staying here again and i thouroughly,wholeheartedly reccommend it to anyone. Well done Burrator inn."

"Parking was limited to 3 narrow spaces at the rear of the guesthouse but there is the option of residents parking in a nearby street (we were given a residents parking permit). We were in an en-suite room in the basement, with use of the fridge and microwave in the basement kitchen area which was useful. There were a couple of cobwebs in the corners of the room but the shower, toilet, sink and bed were spotless. Breakfast was great, with a varied menu. The dining room was clean and welcoming....
