"The host was very responsive and accommodating. The home was not as clean as we would have liked as you could tell it hasn't had a good deep clean in a while. When the description says 4WD is recommended in winter, I would say you need it all the time. It had rained quite a bit before and during our stay, and we barely got up the driveway in our van. But, overall it was a good place to stay. Our kids loved it, especially playing chess in the living room."

We were only going to take one dog but our dog sitter got sick so we had to bring our other, owner was ver responsive and it was no problem. Home was perfect for pets! If you are looking for fancy this is not for you but it is comfy and cute and pet friendly. Off the beaten path so yes you will need 4 wheel drive in the winter!!! "Really enjoyed the space. So clean and well appointed. The road is a bit anxiety inducing getting there due to the recent storm, but it was manageable. Family staying above us had children so we had to occasionally listen to little feet running and stomping about but it didn’t bother us much. "

The location is good as it's in a nice neighborhood, but you still feel kind of secluded, and it's located nicely between Boone and West Jefferson.
