"The property was ideally situated for our needs. The bedroom was quite small but the bathroom spacious. The light above the bed wasn’t working. We reported this on arrival but it wasn’t rectified in spite of an assurance that it would be. No-one came to make up the room or refill the tea/coffee after the first night. We couldn’t get onto the WiFi at all. We also had problems with the heating, which came on for only short periods and couldn’t be adjusted. Could be a very nice place to stay if...

Is Schmotel three times worse than travelodge? No it’s a different thing. "The photos look far better than reality! Hall and stairs very scuffed. Room and bedding were clean. Shower was dodgy…the water didn’t drain away, so you had to be very careful not to let it spill over the shower tray. "
