"My best friend and I spent 3 days at this adorable apartment. We made the mistake of bringing large luggage. There are lots of stairs (4 flights) and no elevator. Other than the stairs, the apartment is perfect. Good room sizes and a beautiful view of the road & building behind the museum. Excellent host who often booked transportation for us. We couldn’t have been happier with this choice. The only thing this apartment is missing is a good French press coffee maker or nespresso machine. "

It is close enough to Florence for easy day trips - a car is recommended for convenient access to the property, but there is ample free parking in a nearby town to head downtown by bus. "What a beautiful location. Perfect for day trips to all the Tuscan attractions and towns. Less than 5 minute drive to Montecarlo where you can find some lovely restaurants. Grocery shopping is close by as well. Luigi and Franca were awesome. Luigi went out of his way to educate us on where to go in Tuscany and shared much about his interesting life history. Great, fresh air from patio doors made a perfect spot to visit over a glass of wine or coffee after 4 couples explored Florence from this convenient location just off the Piazza di Santa Croce. Restaurants, markets and busy with students socializing into the evening hours on the weekend, easy taxi access on the corner. Space was very clean, with great bedding and towels. "Beautiful well appointed flat in the middle of Lucca! Steps away from all of th sites and sounds of the city! Kitchen, terrace, bedrooms /bathrooms were all pristine! Only complaint was contractors on scaffolding right outside the terrace and kitchen windows…..and the elevator was out of service for a 5th floor flat. A pre-arrival notification would have been appreciated as we would have attempted to find an alternate location without the walk up."
