"This place was spectacular! 2 sets of sliding glass doors in our room opened onto a deck just steps from the lake. There were kayaks available for guests to use. There was a pretty lawn with lounge chairs and beautiful landscaping. We didn’t have an opportunity to use them, but there was a hot tub and a sauna next to the lake. Breakfast was very good, and it could be eaten outdoors on the deck overlooking the lake or in a lovely room with a cozy fireplace and cathedral ceiling and wall of glass...

"Spectacular location overlooking the lake. Quiet and peaceful. The conservatory was lovely to relax with a cuppa overlooking the gardens. Comfortable bed, lovely deep soaking bath. Great breakfast overlooking the black swans in the lake. Wish we had longer than one night. Fantastic service. CJ gave an excellent recommendation to go soak in a local hot waterfall which was a fantastic experience! "

"Room was nice and big. Shelves under bathroom sink need a thorough clean and behind the radiator was quite dusty (I’m asthmatic) but other than that the room was great. The water gets really really hot in the shower but I imagine that the water in the hot springs heats the showers so just something to be aware of especially if you have a baby or young child with you."

The weather was devine so we made good use of the spacious deck, BBQ and outdoor furniture, enjoyed the lake-views listened to the chatter and song of bellbirds and tuiEasy walk or cycle to the lake. Everything you might need in the kitchen, plenty of space.The BBQ needed a good clean, but was soon done by us. "

Unfortunately our reason for attending completely turned to custard and in the end only half our guests managed to stay (our end not the hosts issue) but our hosts were extremely accommodating considering we were dealing with a very different family situation.
