"Our group of five had the chance to book this location for the second time. We enjoyed the fireplaces, the view and the quiet. The place is very clean and spacious.The host was easy to reach and answered promptly to our questions. Would recommend!"

"Overall a older property that has been rennovated, very clean, spacious for 2 couples. Kitchen ok, could use a few more supplies. Has one washroom which is very modern, it is on the main floor and bedrooms are upstairs. Bedroons ok in size. one has a queen mattress while other has a double. Double mattress could use being replaced as one tended to roll to the middle. Overall a good value property within easy driving distance to downtown Ottawa."

"Nice clean, fairly modern cottage with nice views out the back and a great hot tub and firepit outside.For the quality of the home, the following were lacking- shampoo and conditioner (typically provided in this kind of home)- hair dryer- essentials in the kitchen (oil, basic spices)- the fireplace could've been either a real gas fire with a flame or a real wood fireplace. Instead, it has a faux electric screen of fake flames with gas heater behind."

"My daughter had a 3 night stay at Friendly Fires last week, and we came away very impressed and enjoyed the beautiful winter scenery. The pictures and description of the property in the listing are very accurate. When we arrived the lights were on (we arrived late) and a fire had the cottage nice and warm.
