Great hotel and great location! The room was nice and clean. Bed was super comfortable!! Check in was quick and easy. My only small facility note was to access the pool you have to walk through the gym which was a bit awkward while working out to have wet ppl walking through. But overall good facilities! Lots of character and would definitely return!!

I have stayed at this location several times over the past few years, but unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. Upon arrival, I noticed a large red stain on the sheets, which was an unpleasant way to start my trip. I had to contact the concierge on the second day to request a cleaning, and it wasn't until 4 p.m. that a cleaner arrived. To my surprise, they seemed to think I only needed fresh towels and appeared frustrated when I explained I needed new sheets. While the front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the overall experience fell short of my expectations. Based on this visit, I will be seeking a different hotel for my next trip to Ottawa.

When we checked in we were told there would be a daily breakfast buffet, there was not. The gift shop was never open and the restaurant only offered room service for breakfast which was also different from what we were told when we checked in. The room was clean, staff friendly and location was good.

A historic old building right near the canal. One side overlooks a park and the canal. One side looks into office buildings, however. We were lucky in that we got a good unit looking out over the canal. We also luckily got one of the only units with a balcony. Though it's winter and snowy so we didn't use it.
