I got this for $76 a night and I was annoyed that when I went to book a third night the day before, it was only $51. And it came with a balcony and the other room did not. So try to stay here for less than $60 a night. Also don’t lose your key card they try to charge ¥2000 yen and don’t tell you that before. "

"This is a very roomy place for Japan. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us. The air conditioners both work very well too. The main strength of this rental is it’s ridiculous proximity to Kyoto Station. It’s a 2 minute walk if you’re slow. All three beds are Asian style, very firm. The shower/bath area is Asian style. "Loved staying here for the cultural experience. It is very authentic - it makes you feel as if you have travelled back in time! There is a beautiful little garden and the o-furo is very relaxing. The futons were top quality super comfy too! The land-lady is very lovely and a wonderful host. She made sure we had everything we needed and even helped us with dressing in our kimono which we hired for the day. 100% recommend!
