"Overall the place is a nice quiet getaway in the woods. Be prepared for lots of DIY when it comes to the sauna and all other wood burning stove fires. An issue for concern, if you stay in the Shire Suite, the front room is solely heated by the wood burning stove and the ventilation is very limited. VERY smokey throughout our entire stay. Also there’s a tin roof so if it’s raining (it did our whole stay) the noise is REALLY loud making it almost impossible to sleep. Pray for no rain at night....

This cottage is small and cozy and has beautiful views of green pastures. 2 fox kits came out to frolic in front of the cottage each morning, their den must be nearby. This cabin is perfect for a lone traveler or a couple."

"The stay was great. I would make a couple of suggestions. Needs more plugs/usb connections especially closer to either side of the bed. Needs more hooks or towel racks in the bathroom. With 2 people and 1 hook, towels don't dry very well. If your stay is longer than a few days, you will still work from your suitcase, because other than the closet, no place to put your clothes. Two very friendly dogs welcome you which is great. The owner is also very friendly. Close walking distance to a park;...

"In town for a football game (Go Heels!) and booked this cute cottage for its prime location. Close to many restaurants and campus. The interior was surprising with great attention paid to detail, lots of high end fixtures. They did an amazing job fixing this place up. I even took pictures to use on upgrades at home! "
