"Stylish room (although perhaps a bit style-over-substance e.g. mirror was offset from basin which made it difficult to shave) in interesting building. Lovely surrounding area. Great bar/restaurant nearby. The 'welcome' was poor. Room was cold (heating had clearly not been on for awhile ) and took a while to heat up. "Wonderful hotel. It is supported by students at a local hospitality college but honestly we would not have noticed. The rooms were clean and large, and the building is historic; even the key was a real key. The breakfast was quite good. Everyone was so nice. Minor complaints: the towels could be better as could the toilet paper! The hotel is also not readily accessible by public transportation. However, if you have a car, it is terrific."

"Amazing hotel, we had the family room that was made for children, it had anything you'd need and more - our little one loved picking up the books and sat in the comfy chair to read them. There was also a changing table, lovely cot and a baby bath, which made us feel like we were at home. "A lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. They couldn't do enough for you. Located in the ideal location, on Amstel. It's a 20ish minute walk into the center of Amsterdam (25 minutes to Central Station) and around a 20 minute walk to the Heineken and the Van Gogh Museum. Some lovely restaurants around the area and the hotel backs onto Rembrandtplein, which features clubs and other restaurants. The National Opera and Ballet is on the other side of the water. I stayed in a twin room with canal view and lucked out with the 5th floor overlooking Amstel. The view was stunning. I slept with the curtains open so I could look out overnight. The room was spacious and the bathroom was in good nick. Great facilities in the hotel, including a mini self serve supermarket (including a Starbucks coffee machine) and air hockey and a pool table. I didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurants or explore much further, but overall had a great experience at the hotel."

"My husband and I stayed at Hotel Casa for a week in Amsterdam. We were a little hesitant because it is outside the city centre. However, we are very happy we made the decision to stay here. It is a quiet area that provided a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Central station is less than a 10 minute ride from Amstel Station, which is right next to the hotel. Day trips were also cheaper from Amstel Station. The hotel was clean and quiet, with rooms bigger than normal for Europe. Staff were fabulous. They were kind and helpful and really made us feel welcome and at home. Bed was comfortable, shower was clean and had sufficient hot water. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Yet another great stay at Citizen M. The staff are lovely and always helpful - at any time. Unfortunately I fell ill while on holiday and they were kind enough to allow me to stay in the room a little later to rest up before the journey home. Great coffee and snacks, also very near the tram and train line so convenient to get around but quiet enough to get a good night sleep! Thansk again!"
