"Good hotel with potential to be much better. Our room was very spacious with a comfortable bed, but the shower room in particular was rather shabby. It also had a sensor to switch on the light, which did not register when someone was in the shower. As the timer was set too short, we were both plumbed into darkness whilst showering. "Very stylish hotel that is modern and very clean. Check in was so quick and easy and staff are always so helpful. Breakfast is a good buffet with lots of selection and bar/restaurant serves great food in the evening. Room was very big and had a kettle as well as a coffee machine. "Wonderful hotel. It is supported by students at a local hospitality college but honestly we would not have noticed. The rooms were clean and large, and the building is historic; even the key was a real key. The breakfast was quite good. Everyone was so nice. Minor complaints: the towels could be better as could the toilet paper! The hotel is also not readily accessible by public transportation. However, if you have a car, it is terrific."

"Lovely hotel 30 min walk from centre of Utrecht. Very polite and helpful staff. The pool looked inviting but I hadnt swim gear with me. The gym is very basic and too small and too hot. Bar area was lovely. Traffic from the busy road can be heard in the mornings if youre not used to such noise."

Comfortable and extremely convenient

"Sat right on top of the sparkling Hoog Catharijne shopping mall, right next to Utrecht Centraal station, the hotel is literally a bridge to Utrecht's historic and beautiful moated citadel. Bars, cafes, restaurants, monuments and boat tours are within a short walk, and the hotel itself is a cozy and friendly hideaway with firm, comfy beds and lovely bathrooms. The staff we met were great, but the hotel is very efficient and needed very little interaction with them for a pleasant stay."

Very good for the price

"I was very impressed with the hotel, considering the low cost of rooms. Location wise it was not perfect with nothing much within walking distance, but by car it was equally between two destinations I was visiting. The breakfast buffet was a little lacking in variety considering the relatively high price, and hence I took this on only one of my two nights. I think they made a charge for extra coffee pods (if required), which does not seem to be a good point. Having arrived late in the evening, I removed the coffee from sight, so as I made sure I did not run out. This would be a consideration if two people were sharing the room Two single beds, but no serious option to put a space between them. Also, the mattress had a tendency to slide away from the base. I would stay again, but under similar conditions - as a base to explore and not a destination in itself."
