"The hotel is very convenient for the historic centre of Palermo also an easy walk to Centrale rail station (we went on to Rome by train after our stay). Room was well maintained and very clean. Breakfast was enjoyable but slightly disorganised (had run out of knives at one point on both mornings and plates on one) but the setting, a room clearly part of the old palace with a high arched ceiling, also good coffee individually made, more than made up. "The hotel is old and funky. Rooms are adequate, but not as advertised. The room was advertised on Hotels.com as with a desk and WiFi in the room. It had neither and the Alessandra manager was very unapologetic nor helpful at all about these misleading claims. The hotel is also on the THIRD floor (not second floor) with NO Elevator. Not bad once you've moved in, but be aware of having to carry your luggage up three flights of stairs to your room. Staff, other than the manager, was friendly...
