"No elevator. The reception is on 2nd floor. The ground floor is with strong cigarette smell. My reservation was for a non-smoking room. However, there was cigarette smell (via A/C?). And, I saw a man (a guest?) smoking in front of the reception desk. The staff was friendly and willing to help. They carried my bag up to my room (on 3rd floor) and down to the ground floor. It could be a good choose for smokers and weight lifters."

"The property is great for families, with ample space. It's only a few minutes walk to local bus to get to Hakata Station which is about 10 minutes away. There is no manned checkin, just a do it yourself process which was ok. No one to help order taxis or assist with issues with room such as no knives or cooking items like a saucepan. Overall we were happy with it, is better than staying in a small hotel room."

"I had a terrible experience. I arrived with three kids and my elderly parents, tired at 8 pm. There was no receptionist. The doors of the hotel were closet and all the instructions to check in were in Japanese. The check in process required to call a Japanese land line. I couldn’t call because my e-sim only allowed calls through WhatsApp or FaceTime. I had to borrow a phone from a person that was passing by. "The hotel gave me a feeling of nostalgia. The lobby is not fancy but the staff were very nice. There were not much facility choice but it was enough. A bit further away from the Hakata Station but is still walkable. Feeling safe and quite, maybe because it is next to the temple."

"We stayed in a King on the 14th floor. The room was a good size with closet space and a seating area. Didnʻt need to use the onsen as there was a nice furo bath in our room. We had access to the lounge next door, only available to 14th fl guests. In the lounge you are welcomed the first time with matcha or coffee and a Japanese sweet. You can also choose from a variety of drinks and snacks. Breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was a lovely surprise that I did not know I chose. Japanese amd Western breakfast options. Overall a lovely luxury!"

"An affordable alternative to the Hyatt next door. But like the Hyatt, it's attached to the Canal City Mall, so it's got many food and shopping options in addition to the restaurant. Rooms are small, but affordable and the location is a very short taxi ride to Hakata Station. On a nice day, you can also walk to the station. There's also a bus stop in front of the hotel."
