Hakata Trip
They helped me move my bags from Hakata to Tokyo. That was a life saver. Definitely recommend if you want to be a good connection point (Shinkansen, public lines, JR, etc) Community felt a bit hipster, more outspoken, than Tokyo. They’re less shy here, I think.

Staff was not all that knowledgeable. We were given 1000 yen for taxi to airport. However our ride was really 2330 yen. Hotel was excellent in many other ways. The washing machine was a major plus. Breakfast needed to be replenished more often. Many items were like scrapping the bottom of dish.

Convenient to Hakata station unless you are dragging its of luggage. The room was spacious (for Japanese standards). I stepped on a wet spot in the rug. Probably related to the humidifier. The hotel staff responded promptly.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were amazing. The fire alarm activated in the middle of the night, but the staff handled the situation very well. I do not speak Japanese, however a member of the staff spoke a little english and made my stay very convenient. I would gladly stay at this establishment again.
