"The host was very responsive and accommodating. The home was not as clean as we would have liked as you could tell it hasn't had a good deep clean in a while. When the description says 4WD is recommended in winter, I would say you need it all the time. It had rained quite a bit before and during our stay, and we barely got up the driveway in our van. But, overall it was a good place to stay. Our kids loved it, especially playing chess in the living room."

"We came to Boone to your App State with our son. The house was great. The view was beautiful. The boys loved the basement and arcade games. The only reason I didn’t give it a perfect 5 is we couldn’t get up the driveway in a jeep. We shoveled it a bit but it was too snow/ice packed. We were able to climb up. We wanted to experience the winter weather and got to do so. We hope to visit again in the future. "

"Everything very nice. Two problems. The dishwasher didn’t work and the great room fireplace pilot was faulty. Unless my son was literally there to do it manually, we could not start the fire.
