"It had a casino and was.next.to the beach. It attracts casino type crowds .breakfast was lousy and service poor. A smile would have helped. Ample parking which is a good thing as jaco is not safe."

"This was called an ecolodge because it does not use bug spray and has no hot water. It was way overpriced for a hostel and did not meet hotel standards, when booking you had to book 2 nights minimum, non refundable. We were expected to supply our own towels which we did not know. The owner graciously provided us with towels. The owner was pleasant and provided us a place to stay with our dog which is uncommon for Costa Rican hotels. We sincerely thank her for that.
