"This is a one of a kind hotel, that is landscaped and attended to in an impeccable fashion. The food choices and quality were amazing—numerous GF etc options that were clearly labelled. Truly one of the best resorts we have ever stayed at and I highly recommend it. Only minor gripes are that there are add on costs for a # of the yoga classes. Also it is a VERY hilly property so be prepared."

"Beautiful location right on the beach, lovely rooms, very friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, drinks and good food, especially in Chill and Grill. Food can take a little long to arrive from time to time but it didn’t ruin our experience. Relaxed all-inclusive experience. PURA VIDA! We were a family of six adults and would absolutely go back! "

"Clean and safe property. Breakfast was great and sufficient. Pool was clean. Room was clean and had great AC. Balcony was a great addition to room. Staff was kind and appreicative. Being from the USA we are anxious but were quickly at ease upon arriving and settling in."

"Beautiful impeccably clean room, modern everything, the bed was very comfortable and cozy, AC worker perfectly, and the staff is so helpful. Rooms small but there is nice hang out space to swim, read, or enjoy a coffee. "

"Nothing bad to say everything was awsome. They were quite friendly. Stroll down the beach to town was outstanding. Access to beach was what seemed like 2.2 sec. Will visit again and help spread the word."

"The main building opens to a beautiful pool. The terrace was the perfect place to view the scenery, including birds, wildlife, and the ocean. All of the buildings were clean and comfortable, and the mattresses and bedding were comfortable. A few things needed some upkeep (such as a loose kitchen faucet), but the beauty of the home and the outstanding service and responsiveness made up for that. Lizbeth (the manager) was amazing. She prepared a delicious and beautiful meal for the six of us. A few "sodas" were nearby, but the hours were not always convenient for us. However, there is a hotel nearby with a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There were 2 beaches nearby, and another one 30 minutes away. I do recommend a vehicle with 4 wheel-drive. I would definitely recommend Villa Jalapa to friends and would love to stay there again."

"The Gilded Iguana was a wonderful resort. Staff were friendly and very helpful connecting us with amazing restaurants and experiences in the area. Specifically Coyol Restaurant and Huacas Restaurant provided amazing world class food AND beautiful vistas of both sunsets and the Costa Rican Mountains. A great, relaxing stay "
