"Fabulous location, room and facilities. Only slight peeve was no mini bar in the room and two complimentary tiny shortbread biscuits in refreshment tray. Tesco express within 100 metres resolved this. Stayed over six nations Rugby and although hotel full to capacity no fall in level of service. "

"Me and my partner stayed for a night, got a good deal on a room with breakfast included however a bit disappointing the room being situated at a point where there was a massive skip outside and ongoing works outside so awoken early with constant banging. Street noise etc was a given as the hotel is in the city centre. The hotel is huge so I’m almost positive there would have been rooms elsewhere and it was a Monday night so not particularly busy. The facilities were nice, Spa was pretty good but...

"Overall a great stay, breakfast was poor on the cooked breakfast side. Standard breakfast for 3 stars. Lunch was overpriced but again its edinburgh! Reception gent was very friendly on arrival but lady on leaving didnt say a word or ask how our stay was which was poor service. Location is ideal for a more scenic quiet stay. 7 mins on train into the centre and 5 mins via car to beautful portabello beach. Room was comfortable huge bed, but bathroom was tired (sink tap wobbled to each side) but...

"The Staff on welcoming were affable, amiable, friendly and knowledgeable. Set me up for my whole Edinburgh experience which I loved. Hotel is fresh, bright and clean. Rooms are stylish and comfortable. Great mix of restaurants and pubs nearby with the bonus of supermarkets for any forgotten or needed items.The Hotel is only a short walk from Haymarket train station and handy for areas such a The Grassmarket. Hotel reasonably priced great quality experience."
