"The essentials were good: comfortable bed; well-appointed kitchen; nice-sized rooms. The place was quiet and convenient. Other than the essentials above, not clean around the edges at all. Could use a really good cleaning and kitchen cabinets replaced. Bathroom is tiny, but that was anticipated. Bathroom was very old. Fulfilled cooking a good dinner and a great night’s sleep. "

"My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon as we made our way down California. The garden was beautiful, the size was bigger than I expected, and the kitchen was awesome. The only thing I would improve was the bathroom. There wasn’t spare toilet paper and there weren’t many towels. Great stay!"

"The apartment was more than we could have expected. From the vintage art deco furnishings to the appliances, everything was beautiful. We enjoyed spending time on the balcony and in the sunroom. Everything we needed was readily available including a full sized stacked washer and dryer. The apartment is huge and could comfortably accommodate a family of 6 or more. We would love to stay again."

"The little house was so cute and it had everything we needed. It was a great stay. The neighborhood was a little run down but as soon as we got behind the locked gate and in the little house it was just perfect. It was actually larger than the photos showed. We will be back again. "

"We enjoyed our stay. Everything was very clean. Loved the mix of old and new furnishings. Charmed by the reading nook. Only recommendation would be to improve the night stand and related electrical access to accommodate C-pap machine. Easy walk to old town and just one block away from the beautiful Carson mansion. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting the Victorian experience within walking distance to old town."

"I first stayed at the Ginger bread house in the 80ies not long after it became a B&B. It is just as wonderful now as it was then. From tea time to the stroll in the garden is was a magical stay. "Property was nice, beds were conforms, all amenities were there. Would have liked to have a way to cook the rooms down, there was a heater in the master but no fan. The only other was i wish there was a BBQ to enjoy with the weather, but i understand the liability. Easy access to the highway, not far from Ferndale or Eureka. Bear River Casino just down the highway of you want a little gambling. Would definitely stay there again when back in the area. "
