Every morning and evening she will drop by to make sure that everything is ok, she is very approachable thus feel free to text her if you have any queries. It is situated very near to key attractions and walking distance to the biggest night market in the city. 7-11, family mart and self-service laundry...

"Encounter Hostel was GREAT!! I would definitely stay again! The place was about a 7 min taxi ride and it was clean, big, and airy. Four people stayed and we had nothing but praise for this place. The owner, Mr. Wang and his employees went out of their way to accommodate us. He even helped us with our other problems at our different hotels, staying on the phone with us (we speak very little chinese) and even bargaining prices for us! You don't get that just anywhere!"

"Very nice stay in the suite with a delicious breakfast. Unfortunately the earthquake cut our stay short, but they were so accommodating and made sure we were taken care of. What a terrifying thing for the staff to navigate - they were wonderful. I fear the hotel had significant damage and hope they will be able to reopen. "

"Hotel seems quite new. Room is fairly spacious and beds are comfortable. Shower has good pressure and consistent temperature. Breakfast (vegetarian) spread is very good and tasty. Hotel has own car park sites just behind the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is great - walking distance to night market and several famous eateries. Will definitely stay here again if I come to Hualien"
