"A lovely, clean place to stay. Had an evening meal which was absolutely delicious, beautifully cooked proper food. Hats off to the chefs. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive, but not hovering all the time. I would definitely recommend The Queens to stay and/or eat. "

"Convenient and reasonably priced. Great late night check in staff. A pretty standard motel style room, bed was comfortable if not large. Used to the super-King at home so a regular double was fine for me, just glad I wasn’t sharing with tte OH. Excellent bathroom, with large walk in shower, that gives the motel an extra star from me. Disappointed with the extra £5 parking fee. Felt like a hidden last minute tax. "

"I stayed for one quick night at this hotel and I was blown away by the hospitality and helpfulness. I was down in thar area competing in a sports event and the reception staff on the night I arrived and the morning I left could not have been better. There was obvious communication between staff members which often is lost in the big chain hotels these days. Would love to return and sample the restaurant food and actually sit for breakfast."

"Our stay here was lovely. We travelled up for a family funeral and was wanting somewere qyiet and peaceful to rest afterwards. The host was very polite and friendly the bed was super comfy and the breakfast was 10 out of 10. We will definateky be using this place when we come to see family from now on "

"It’s a good hotel location to get to Lake District, free large car park. Friendly greeting at reception on check-in. Should also mention handy EV charger (fast charger) for EV cars (which I used) just off main road. So not only can you recharge your battery but also the cars. "
