"Incredible, peaceful, and beautiful place. A great mix of jungle, hacienda ruins, posh facilities, and a healing, new age vibe. Quite remote, but that is part of the intrigue. The food is also incredible (even my husband, who is a dedicated carnivore, was floored by it. All the staff was fantastic and very thoughtful about the experience they wanted to create. Wish we stayed longer to get to relax and unwind in such a special spot. "

It is off the road set in among an orchard and forest.The the property managers, met us at the house and helped us get settled in.He showed us where to go to some cenotes about 1/2 hour away. She was exceptionally helpful in taking care of us with everything we needed."

"The experience with staff and facilities was very good overall. The front desk and restaurant employees were excellent. The resort is very quiet and one might feel as if you have the place almost to yourself. There was a couple of downsides, that one might expect. You are in the jungle and there may very well be bugs (read spiders). They assured us that none are harmful. The bathrooms somehow are aging worse than the rest of the rooms. They should not have painted the showers etc as this has led to mold, at least in our case. All that said, for the price, the hotel is excellent, in general. We thank the staff for their kind attention during our stay."

"This was an excellent hotel that was pristine! The rooms and beds were very comfortable. The shower pressure and hot water was the best in Mexico! The pool was clean and inviting as are the grounds. It was tranquil and close enough to town for an easy walk or ride to the center. There were even bikes to use. Definitely recommend!"

"This is the most unique stay I've ever had. It is a converted Hacienda and the rooms have names, not numbers. We stayed in Poppy, one of the large rooms on the main building. The ceilings must have been 18 feet tall and the rooms are gorgeous. There is no door between the main room and the restroom; only a curtain. The shower is enormous and beautiful, but the water pressure was low. The included breakfast was delicious, but this is in the countryside and there are critters flying around. It's also incredibly warm. There's no parking lot, only a grassy area. You have to leave the road on a side road to get here, so don't turn exactly when the GPS tells you unless you want to drive down a rocky hill. The air conditioner doesn't keep it cool to American standards. You can use the Jet mode to get a little more air out of it. I also travel with a little USB fan. There is a ceiling fan that helps a little. We would stay here again. Izamal is a lovely city. This is about 3 mile out of town. The staff were very friendly. I speak Spanish so I don't know how well they speak English. "
