"Overall the property is nice, but could use a re-fresh and some renovation. Everything appears to be a little dated in the common areas (couches, carpet, rugs, etc) The staff is incredibly friendly, polite and helpful and the best part of the stay."

"We stayed here for a week while visiting our daughter who lived nearby. The staff were friendly, and polite. No problem with communication even though I do not speak Japanese. I really enjoyed their breakfast buffet. The view of the mountains from the room can't be beat. I agree with one review that said the toilet in the reception is the best toilet I have been to in Japan, as crazy as that may sound. Highly recommend!"

"The property itself is beautiful (if maybe a little dated) and the room we had was lovely. Our only disappointment was the area surrounding the property. The pictures provided through travel agencies are not accurate: this hotel is not secluded or in the mountains or even remotely close to nature. It is in the middle of an urban development, and not a particularly modern or advanced one. Still had a lovely time! Just not what we were expecting."
