"The pub itself is very good. Food and service excellent. Our room was very tired and inneedof updating. The worse thing was the bed, which had a coil sprung mattress which was one of the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on. We were offered a room change for the second night, but it was Christmas day and we had to travel into Henley for the day so couldn’t wait long enough for a room to be ready for us. "We were made very welcome, our room was lovely and warm (important as it was very cold and frosty), lovely and clean. Bathroom with a bath, but no shower. Large, comfortable bed. Very cosy. Breakfast was great and kept us going on our 10 mile walk that day. We had a lovely evening meal in the pub, which was well cooked and presented. Staff were very friendly and helpful."
