"Fishermans Cot is situated in a truly beautiful position beside the River Exe. Many of the roads in the area are very narrow and demading, especially if you are unable to occasionally reverse on meeting a caravan in tow or a wide vehicle. Food at the hotel was good in quality apart from the Continental Breakfast that had a poor and very limited variety of items. Staff were very friendly and attentive; accommodation warm, clean and comfortable and overall value and eg bar prices competitive. "

Dinner was excellent and reasonably priced and breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. There is a good choice of food on the dinner menu. The rooms were good for the price and breakfast was included. "Stopping off in Devon for a few days break, we were very pleased with our stay at The Globe. While the property is very far from being an "all singing all dancing" modern hotel (no elevator for example); it has buckets of charm and is situated in an excellent location. Our room was certainly spacious and very clean and well appointed and everything worked perfectly.
