"Lovely place to stay as a central base in Dorset, clean and well-appointed with clear instructions for optimum use of the cottage and area. Granted we stayed in February but I'd take some slippers next time as the floor is cold but the water was hot, shower was great and bed was very comfy. No communication with hosts whilst we were there but we didn't intitiate as we were out all day but I'm sure they'd be quick to respond to any issues as communication prior to this was very easy. "We stayed in the 'Mimosa' property at Christmas time which was lovely and well equipped. Paul and his daughter were so helpful - you couldn't ask for nicer hosts"

"The Wheel house is the largest of 3 properties at this location. It’s stunning and Judith, the host, is very helpful. The property is one of the best equipped self catering properties we’ve stayed in. Included was: tea/coffee/sugar, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets, cloths, tea towels, bedding, towels, logs for the burner and a really well equipped kitchen. Beds were so comfy. The setting is stunning and we were even lucky enough to wake to a new calf in the field...

"A lovely cosy property in a great location. A nice walk along the river Sid brings you out on the coast in Sidmouth. 2 minutes walk to a great chip shop and five mins walk to to two great pubs. Really enjoyed the stay and our hosts were lovely and helpful."

"We had a lovely stay here, was perfect with the playground on the doorstep and the summer house. My daughter loved it! The pool was perfect too and was a good way to spend the afternoon. Next to our lodge is a field perfect for catching the last hour on golden sunrays. Our host was very friendly and helpful, we certainly hope to come again in the future!"

"Everything we needed for our stay was provided. Very quiet area and beautiful views from the cottage. The drive down the 1 mile track to the property was a bit daunting at first as I don't like heights. Beware the potholes. Both coast and countryside in the local area is stunning. Beer being our favourite."

"What a wonderful home to stay in. This is just the most cozy, warm, cottage imaginable. It lacks for nothing. The house is on a lovely farm with great walking areas. Pete and Bev are superb hosts, and were happy to offer whatever we might need, while not being at all intrusive. We visit family in Dorset often, and shall definitely hope to stay in this delightful spot again. We cannot think of anything negative to mention!"

"Had 3 lovely days at Brooksyde. A very comfortable house, a home form home seaside retreat. A great base to visit Lyme Regis, Sidmouth etc. Beer is a really lovely little village with a few independent shops and restaurants. The voucher for the next door shop was a nice surprise. Would highly recommend "
