"We enjoyed our stay at Art Deco Masonic Hotel. Our room was a bit cramped, but very comfortable otherwise. The hotel has a large balcony overlooking the sea. A very nice place to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner. You are in the heart of Art deco Napier. There’s a tour company across the street, and lots of local shopping & restaurants. The hotel leases a private lot a block away. Very easy to unload luggage & keep your vehicle there. A safe place to keep your car. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are very kind & helpful. We had a problem with a tour we booked & were over the top in helping us sort it out. Many thanks to them for their kindness. The hotel offers a washing machine for those travellers on the road for a while. The wash is free, but drying is a nominal fee. A nice touch. "

"The welcoming staff and convenient location with easy parking made it a pleasant stay for me. I didn’t like that my view was blocked by the tree in front but that gave me a chance to get out and explore nearby amenities."

"Bed very comfortable. Good shower pressure, convenient to have separate toilet. Lovely view of ahuriri beach. Balcony furniture comfortable. There were noisy disruptive people in next room, but that was sorted out very quickly by management. And they contacted us next morning to let us know they wouldn’t be returning."

"Location was good and room was reasonably spacious, with all amenities provided. Check-in staff were very pleasant and accommodating. One side of the queen bed had no bedside table, which was inconvenient. Wifi frequently dropped out."
