"If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would just for the staff!! Anyone we came in contact with were impeccably nice. It was so wonderful meeting them. Their friendliness was very welcoming and warm. Made me feel right at home. They even gave us a take away meal for breakfast because we were leaving prior to breakfast hours."

"I was taken to the room, which was somewhat cramped with ever-so-slightly grubby duvets and extremely thin pillows. All acceptable problems I was prepared to deal with (as was the remote for the oddly-placed tele being dead, but that's me being picky) and I was even able to accept the fact that the shower had two settings - literally scalding (the red of my hand taking hours to go down) or too cold to use. "It’s a lovely cottage, spacious and homely, on a farm with view of fields, hills and sheep. It’s in a good location for visiting all the local historic areas. Hadrian’s wall, the Roman museums etc we even drove to Edinburgh on one of the days. "
