"Good location but very little parking available so advisable to pay for on site parking. Had difficulty initially accessing property with passcode and had to enter when another tenant entered. On entry to the apartment there was an overpowering smell of (i think) curry and i had to open windows and spray room freshener to get rid of it . "The reception counter is only open for short period. I had the problem with the WiFi from Friday night to Monday morning. They came in Monday morning to fix it. Otherwise, the stay was perfect. "

"Over all it was good. There was some noise through the night (2 of the nights) from the tenant upstairs. Apart from that, everything was perfect. "

"We enjoyed our four night stay at Ashton retreat. We found it a welcoming place to relax and enjoy the established extensive gardens around the retreat.The little touches made it special-a full fruit bowl, fresh milk , a variety of breakfast cereals, fresh coffees and a variety of teas etc. Kate and Andy were very welcoming - - thank you for the delicious homemade berry jam and fresh homegrown rhubarb. "We stayed in the Executive suite Tuesday until Friday. Our suite was right next to the construction of a new hotel Noisy tower cranes . For the amount of money I would have preferred to be on the opposite side of the building to be able to sleep in. They started at 7am everyday. Thought it was a bit rude having to pay $1 on principle for each coffee pod from reception the lady was rude. The gentleman who greeted me on arrival was fantastic a very nice man. "Staff were well informed and very responsive with a professional attitude and distinct friendliness. Trams were conveniently situated across the road which meant a perfect location for the Botanic Gardens, Central Markets and Rundle Street. Our stay involved four nights on the first floor and on the afternoon of our return, prior to departing SA the following day, we spent a night on the second floor. The beds were wonderful on both levels but the second level was a cut above. Although the bathroom sinks need an upgrade on both levels, (and the bathroom as a whole on the first level,) we would enjoy staying there on a return visit. The positives by far exceeded any negatives. "
