"It was what was expected of a hostel type room. The property was a bit outdated and rooms were a bit stuffy temperature wise, but staff did try to make our stay comfortable. Washer and dryer machines were iffy, but the detergent was included at least. We came during the winter, during their off peak season, and they were in the middle of renovations, so I cant fault them for that. Overall it met our needs."

"A great place to stay. Super clean and very large. We had two bedrooms and a full kitchen. The heated floors in the bathroom were a wonderful surprise. Only a 10 min walk from the bus terminal. The host was very helpful. We were able to drop off our luggage pre checkin so we didn’t have to cart it around all day. Would highly recommend. "

"I needed to make a last-minute reservation in Reykjavik and looked at Guesthouse Aurora primarily based on price and location. And it didn't disappoint. I had a clean room, clean shared bathroom and a good breakfast in a safe area very close to Hallgrímskirkja church. They also can do laundry for a cost and hold luggage."

"Amazing location and everything I needed. Breakfast was simple but replenished frequently. Free parking was easy to find on the street. I would suggest earplugs and an eye mask for extra comfort, the rooms are quite active at night. "

"The property was excellent, hospitality was top rated, no issues with checkin and checkout. Walkable distance from Bsi bus terminal. Just few bits that might need attention or improvement are The room didn't have a litter bin, there was one in the toilet but a small one. The toilet door could have been better, as the current door is just a sheet of wood with sliders fixed at top, Perhaps one on slider hinges on the bottom would make it more stable. "Really great hotel! Quiet allowing you to peacefully sleep. Lots of great food places nearby. It’s near a shopping centre which is great if you want to do some basic shopping. Above all, there’s easy parking nearby. You do have to pay but for a weekend trip it’s great as it’s free from P3 (which is one of the parking zones)"

Would stay again. Great service and staff.

"Very nice hotel in an up and coming area of Reykjavik. Close to the Bus Stop 15 where the Flybus shuttle will drop one. There is some construction going on so some rooms may get noisy during the day. We were lucky to get a different room despite an early check in. The staff were friendly in all areas including breakfast and bar area. The room and bathroom are comparable to many options in Iceland and not too cramped. The breakfast options are really good and they will even offer early options if you need to depart for a tour early. i would consider staying here again."

"We chose to stay here because we stayed here the last time we visited Reykjavik and really liked the hotel. It is well positioned for the centre and the harbour area. It is clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfast is excellent. Bus stop 5 is just across the road so it is also very convenient for trips out of Reykjavik. "
