"This was probably the weirdest hotel experience in my life. The huge manor has been converted to a hotel but has been neglected recently (including a time housing asylum seekers - Google it). The time around 10 of the 100+ rooms are being used so you “rattle around” especially when you’re the only guests!! "The Barn was a comfortable enough stay for the one night, although the hotel is a little tired and in need of some refurbishment. The pool, sauna and steam room were nice enough. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. There was a small mix up with the wine i ordered but that was put right. I was wakened at 07:00 by noise outside my room. Overall a pleasant enough stay though."
