"The room was clean pleasant, if just a bit tight for 5 people. Two of the kids liked the experience of sleeping on the tatami mats. Having the laundry machine in our unit was a life saver. The only feedback for the hotel is that the toilet gave off a strange smell the entire stay. I think it was because the tank needed to be cleaned. "

"The hotel is around 15-20 min walk from the main area of Kyoto for food and shopping. It has a few local eats that are popular close by as well. It’s around 10 min away from this local bakery that has a best shrimp cutler bread that was very very good we had it 3 days in a roll. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Only down side is any closest convenient store is maybe around 5 min walk, which is not as close as some of the property I have stayed at Japan where convenient store is usually...

"I had never seen a hotel with all 10/10 reviews before, so we stayed there to see for ourselves. It's no lie, the place was wonderful. The staff really make it special - they are lovely, friendly, helpful, engaging. We stayed there for a long stretch, and it was our favorite hotel in Japan by far. We were a family of four and opted to book two rooms. We were very comfortable, enjoyed the breakfasts and free drinks in the afternoon. We were able to do laundry in our rooms, too. We weren't sure...

"This was a spacious, comfortable and unique property in a good location. It was immaculately clean. There is a Lawson store next door and a number of good restaurants nearby. It is in walking distance to the Heian Shrine and Nanzenji Temple. Bus stops are just outside and subway stations are very close. The hotel is on a busy street, but the room is well insulated and very quiet. It has a washing machine that is supposed to also function as a dryer, but we didn’t have much luck with the dryer...
