"We love having our extended family from Atlanta, New York, and Boston in Michigan for the summer, and nothing is more enjoyable than staying on Walloon Lake. This year, we had a wonderful week in this charming cottage! The cottage was just as described and made for a sunshine and lake-filled vacation, with plenty of common areas to play games and share family meals. "Perfect Up North Michigan lakefront house. Everything is thoughtfully done (dog stuff- bowls, toys and a tie out/ human stuff- coffee bar, books and hammocks, a great view) it’s a beautiful, comfortable place. All communication with Amanda was easy, timely and helpful (she helped recommend a boat rental, and eased nerves about payment). It was a fantastic experience, and look forward to booking again."

"My three sons, their wives and children. And I stayed here for a week. Plenty of room. Lots of extra roll away beds and bed linens. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, glasses and dishes. The house was bigger than it looked from the outside. 'Nice little walk to the beach and not even the 3 year old complained. The host was very responsive when I had questions/concerns. Great place for a larger group."

"It was a great stay at Northern Reflections! Two families of cousins came for a few days of skiing. The cabin was a great spot for everyone to stay and enjoy time together in between skiing. With all the snow, it was a bit treacherous driving to and from Boyne at times, but was an such an affordable option for our big group. The scenery was BEAUTIFUL on Lake Arrowhead. "Spent a week at Loon Lodge for a family vacation. We had a great time kayaking, swimming, and hanging out by the water. The house had everything we needed--plenty of bath and beach towels, lots of floats and a lily pad mat, and fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. Our teens liked having their own space in the bunkhouse. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing, but close to town for necessities or a meal out. We also rented a boat and it was a very easy process. Sara was very easy to communicate...

There is a telescope in the Sun porch for viewing bald eagles and other wildlife, there is a ton of space in the walk out basement for our young adult kids to play games and hang out after spending a day on the water.
