We were concerned about the weather for our original dates, and she let us modify it to the following long weekend where we had beautiful 80 degree days full of sunshine. "We love having our extended family from Atlanta, New York, and Boston in Michigan for the summer, and nothing is more enjoyable than staying on Walloon Lake. This year, we had a wonderful week in this charming cottage! The cottage was just as described and made for a sunshine and lake-filled vacation, with plenty of common areas to play games and share family meals. "It was a great stay at Northern Reflections! Two families of cousins came for a few days of skiing. The cabin was a great spot for everyone to stay and enjoy time together in between skiing. With all the snow, it was a bit treacherous driving to and from Boyne at times, but was an such an affordable option for our big group. The scenery was BEAUTIFUL on Lake Arrowhead. "We had the best time at the Shingle Shack! The house was spacious and comfortable. It is has a very homey feel to it. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. There is a great little market within a few minutes drive that we v bought all of our groceries at. The kayaks were fun to take out into the lake. The beach fire pit is going to be hard to top for all future vacation rentals. We did not use the bunkhouse during our stay. The lake is absolutely beautiful.Perfect for swimming,...
