"We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the beautiful autumn colors of western Michigan. The house was clean and well prepared for our group of 5, including children. The basement was a bit chilly, so bring an extra blanket to make sure you are warm!"

"Location was right near the public beach and ice cream store. Let the kids play at the beach and playground. Plenty of bedrooms. Wasn’t aware that we were expected to take our garbage home with us until we got there and weren’t prepared to do that. Meijer is a couple of miles away if you need supplies. Overall, good place to stay. "

"All aspects of this property met our expectations except for the bedroom situation. The property is listed as 5 bedrooms, but only one bedroom (new addition) has full walls. The other 4 bedrooms have open rafter ceiling which makes each room connected as far as noise is concerned. If you are traveling with other couples, this may not be advantageous. That being said, the location is great and the view from the deck is lovely. Jay is also a very gracious host. "

"Captain's Cottage is super cute! The pictures really dont do it justice. We were a block from the beach. Snug Harbour and Noto's are a must for waterfront dining. Downtown had lots to offer as well and was walking distance to CC. We had to make a trip to Meijer...also very close...and was astonished at the cleanliness and upscale feel of this store. We had a great, although too short stay, at Captain's Cottage."

"The house and the views are amazing. With 9 people this home is spacious enough for all of us to have our own private areas. The deck is amazing and has everything you need, from its outdoor kitchen to the extra cabana room. Plenty of comfy seating. We had no children but house is stocked and very kid friendly. The beach was our own private beach. Very clean and beautiful. It is a short walk down to the beach with stairs but very walkable. Our host Sara was in touch with us and very easy to...

"The house was wonderful and perfect for our family vacation! It’s conveniently located near the beach and downtown. The owner, Nicole and the property manager, Lisa were both great with communication throughout our stay even going above and beyond what we expected. The house was very clean, the basement was perfect for our kids to hangout in on those rainy days and the yard was a great size for yard games and nights around the fire pit."

"The property manager was responsive when two issues were reported. There wasn’t enough towels or bedding for the number of guests we paid for. To his credit he came over at 11 at night to rectify the issue. The second issue was the chirping smoke alarm. I think anyone renting a house should just change the smoke alarms on a regular basis. It kept us awake for two hours but the next morning when he received the report he did bring over a new battery. Location was great and he Responded quickly."
