"Had a lovely stay here recently, the staff were really great and very friendly, even allowing me to stay in my room later than the official check-out time as I was getting ready for a wedding. The room itself could have been a little cleaner and one of the lamps by the bed didn't work, but overall it was perfectly fine and more than clean enough for rooms above a pub :) The bed was wonderfully comfortable and I had one of the best nights sleep I've had in a while (especially after driving 7...

"We thought the hosts were really lovely and the location of the guesthouse was ideal for us for walking. There are two pubs within walking distance which serve fantastic food: Coledale inn and Royal Oak. However, we had a downstairs room and seemed to have been really unlucky with the guests upstairs who woke us up every hour during the night. Thankfully, we were only staying a couple of nights as we were absolutely exhausted by the end. Would recommend a stay, just maybe ask for an upstairs...

"Guys running it were friendly and happy to help. It is in a good location just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Keswick. Very dog friendly and it was obvious both guys loved dogs. Ðogs can go into dining area with you so no worries about leaving them in room. Gluten free breakfast available along with oat milk if required. "

"Having been to Glenridding many many times, this is the first I’ve stayed at Fairlight Guesthouse. It won’t be the last! It was a lovely place to stay; great bedroom, comfy bed, powerful shower, onsite parking, lovely staff and good breakfast. "

"It was clean and well presented, the owners were very friendly and helpful, the room was warm and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, fairly spacious with a most excellent shower. We missed breakfast the first morning due to taking part in an event, but found they had left us some bananas and apples for us. We had the full breakfast the next day which was spot on. And they have their own parking spots for 4 cars! Definitely will use again , as we had a lovely stay. "

"Myself and my young Cavapoo, Rose have just stayed for 2 nights. It was not in the centre of town but only a 10 min walk from the centre. The view of Latrigg from my bedroom window was amazing. Lorna is so welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. There is also all the little touches in the room like cotton pads, refreshments etc. Great for a solo traveller & her best friend. Would highly, highly recommend staying here. Thank you for such a lovely time."

"Maple Bank is a gem of a place. Super location literally 100 yards from a bus stop, which has an hourly bus right through to midnight, with a £2 fare cap! We chose to walk in to Keswick one morning which took about 50 minutes. Check-in was great and informative, outlining options for breakfast for vegetarian & vegan choices.
