"We had a great stay using this as our base to explore part of the Lake District, easy access to lakes and many fells in one direction and to vast beaches a short drive away in the other direction. Loved the jacuzzi bath to relax in after a long day walking. We found the stairs to be steeper than we are acustomed to and also smaller treads, but a good hand rail for support when going to bed with tired legs. "I received a call 24 hours before our arrival (on New Years Eve),telling me the booking cancelled due to 'gas issues' in the apartment. I was told they would arrange for Expedia to search for alternative accomodation. I was ,however,scepital about this and proceeded to try and find accomodation myself,without success at such short notice.
