"We very much enjoyed our stay at La Plantation. Our unit was clean and comfortable with spectacular views. The staff were friendly and helpful, the property well kept. Beautiful Orient Beach, as well as the village stores and restaurants are walking distance, but would be a bit of a hike for some, however, a short car ride for them. We enjoyed the morning breakfast each day. We have stayed here before, not been back to SXM since Hurricane Irma in 2017. We are happy to say the Island is great as always, La Plantation has never disappointed, we would gladly visit again."

"During my stay at La Playa Orient Bay in St Martin, I was impressed by the great service and the spacious, beautifully decorated rooms. Though the ocean view is more of a partial view, it's still a delight to wake up to the soothing sound of waves each morning. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the staff at the reception were incredibly helpful and welcoming. One minor hassle was the beach towels policy, as you can't change them during the day if they get dirty. However, I do appreciate their effort towards minimizing environmental impact. The breakfast could use an upgrade; it’s not bad if you're staying for a few days, but the lack of variety may become monotonous if you're here for an extended period. The beach itself is stunning and the on-site restaurant offers delightful meals. The hotel's surrounding area is amazing too, with plenty of fantastic restaurants within walking distance. Overall, La Playa Orient Bay is a great choice for a relaxing stay in St Martin, despite a few minor inconveniences."

"The property was spotless, tastefully decorated and had wonderful panoramic views from the room. The staff were very attentive and helpful."

"The property is beautiful and the rooms are spacious (with a front door and a back door leading to a small terrace). The kitchenette in our room consisted of a microwave, sink, coffeemaker and small fridge. The pool was incredibly clean and there was a small area with a hose to rinse off (located near the gate to exit the pool area). It is a short walk from the property to the beach and towels were always available from the front desk staff. The cleaning staff did an excellent job daily and front desk staff were always helpful and friendly. The Astrolabe restaurant had a lovely atmosphere for dinner and the food was quite tasty. The free breakfast in the mornings included: bread with a selection of various spreads available, chocolatines, croissants, juice, tea, coffee, fresh fruit and some cereal options. The staff always provided a menu to order other items for breakfast for an extra fee (e.g. scrambled eggs and bacon). It was overall comfortable and a pleasure to stay at the Esmeralda Resort. "
