"Great activity options and amazing thermal river"

"The resort is peaceful and clean. Most staff was friendly. We only had one unpleasant experience. On Tuesday, the twelfth. I think his name was Eric. My husband stayed he spoke to him rudely. I loved Jose Maria and Genesis! They are genuinely kind and friendly. I would love to go back, however, the road leading to the resort is very rough! You almost need a 4 x 4. It’s a dirt road and lots of curves and narrow! I can not imagine it when it rains. I also noticed some small worms in the room. I didn’t mind it since the resort is out in nature. I think they were harmless. The pool is very beautiful and so is the dining area. "

"Hacienda is a great spot. Beautiful grounds, great restaurant, and great service. It’s showing its age a bit and could use a little updating and some maintenance. Our room was very nice and comfortable but the AC did not cool the room well. It did not detract from the overall stay though."

"Our stay at Destino Hotel & Hot Springs exceeded all expectations. We escaped the busy tourist area near the beaches to find true luxury in this tranquil natural environment. We explored the surrounding countryside, villages, and attractions each day, then retreated to the comfort and beauty of our Villa. Magnificent sunsets each evening over the expansive canyons, carved by the river we could hear and see below, were thoroughly enjoyed as we soaked in our own private warm mineral water pools. There was even a path with stairs that led down through the trees and flowers to the river and a tiki-style picnic area. Tropical birds and wildlife thrive here too. The modern Italian-style kitchen in our Villa enabled us to enjoy the local fruit and vegetables and we even had fun shopping for groceries. With all the privacy in this seemingly remote location, it was amazing when we had a gourmet pizza and salads delivered to our door. The hospitality was spectacular. Our host couldn’t have been better at making us feel cared for and at home. He communicated perfectly and was always available for anything we needed. Even when we had a flat tire heading out for the airport, he was there in a flash to save the day. Wellness indeed and so much more!"
