"We visited Luray, the Caverns, and Shenandoah NP. Property is really nice, clean, comfortable, and located near grocery stores and restaurants. We felt completely safe. Beautiful, private back yard with seating and fire pit. It had everything we needed. Enjoyed the AC heating system. Great TV in family room. Quiet at night. Previous renters haven’t been kind to some of the walls in the property. Host was very nice and accommodating. "

"Clean and organized cottage, everything you need for a pleasant stay. Just be aware no wifi and no cell phone reception inside the house and poor reception outside (Verizon). There is a couple of miles to drive on unpaved and at time rough terrain but we did not have problems with our minivan.Great location right in front of the river. "We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We were 15-20 minutes away from lots of breweries and outdoor dining places yet felt like we were staying in the country. Enjoyed the hot tub and basketball hoop and the fire pit was ready for us when we arrived. Our little dog was welcomed and enjoyed the yard too. Great communication with the owner. There is some noise from the train and road nearby but it did not bother us."

"This cottage is so cute and it fit the four of us just right. Very comfortable beds, lots of pillows and nice living room furniture. There are great views of the mountains and big fields with cows on the other side of the fence. You felt like you were far away from the ruckus of everyday life. It was bright and cheery with beautiful wall paper and lots of windows. A hot tub and screened porch was also there to enjoy. We had a wonderful time and will go back again. "

"This was the first bad experience I’ve had through VRBO, which lead to LEAVING the property less than two hours after arriving!! After arriving and unpacking the vehicle, I began to prepare dinner. After finding the pots that belong to the property in a kitchen cabinet, I saw that the pots were dirty. "Everything as described. The cabin was immaculate, and appeared to be almost brand new. Had pots, pans, plates, cups, microwave, and two plate burner top. As advertised you’ll need to bring your own bedding/towels. Wife and I have already agreed on a date to come back. Thanks for allowing dogs as well!"

"This little cottage was very clean and cozy. It is far off the road but close to a lot. A great location for Skyline drive. Good eats nearby. I would recommend an SUV, a sedan might bottom out on the road coming in. I gave 4 stars overall because of the latrine.. It is a compost toilet and there is an odor. The flies were bad because of this. Don’t plan to do a lot of cooking. Pots pans utensils were limited. We cooked steaks on the gri and our forks and knives bent trying to cut them. We have...

"We stayed at the lovely property so that we could attend a family reunion at Lost River State Park. The park was only about 7 miles from the house. The home was lovely. Clean and well maintained. We loved the front porch swing and my 12 year old son spent time on the swing off the front porch. We put on water shoes and explored the creek out back too!
