"The location next to Big Bend was convenient. Hearing the birds every morning and seeing wild burros one evening were great! The rooms are clean and comfortable, but did miss having a tv."

The weather wasn’t great but it was an anomaly that just happened to happen, the host accommodated and offered any assistance we needed. 10/10 would recommend. "We came for 5 nights to celebrate a birthday and had everything we needed. We adventured out each day to a different nearby site or town. The bed is very comfortable—sheets, comforter and pillows. Great shower and soaps and plenty of towels. We used the TV and front porch and didn’t even need the AC at night much. No issues whatsoever. Thank you! "

"The Desert Quail Oasis was just that... a great spot to relax after hiking and exploring in Big Bend National Park. We loved sitting on the porch watching a lightening storm in the distance as well as the lovely mountains all around. After a much needed rain, it was fun to see a covey of desert quail running around the property! The place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Our only complaint is that the water doesn't smell very good. Water is such an issue in this desert environment....

"Enjoyed our stay early in the week (Tuesday -Thursday) and it was perfect space for me and two teenagers. It was great to come back to the tiny house to unwind after a long day of exploring West Texas. And Carla was responsive to any questions and even came to help us out when we had put the code in backwards to open the door and we started having issues to get it to unlock. She quickly replied to us and was there in a jiffy to help us with the door one evening. "

"We really enjoyed our spring break excursion to Alpine. The cabin was great. The beds were comfy. We loved how the house set elevated on its own scenic hill. Offered a lot of privacy, yet also an in town vibe, too. Would recommend."

"My family of five enjoyed our stay at this modern property. Everything was exactly as described. We would definitely stay here again."

"Perfect property to relax. Local memorabilia and historic items used in decorating very cool. Outdoor fireplace and hot tub with cafe table and chairs made visiting a dream. Open kitchen and living area made meals and lounging with family easy. All furnishings comfortable and thoughtful. We would stay here again!"

"This home is more lovely inside than you might imagine. Beautiful artwork everywhere. Super clean throughout. Good water pressure for showers. Could use a few more items in kitchen as zero spices. (But the granola was lovely! Would be good to have a Salt shaker with salt In it and not packets in it, a cooking pan that is more higher quality (the one there warped a bit and didn’t lay flat on the nice range). Could use some touch ups in the “back” area of the yard as it was horribly dusty to sit...

"Came with family and a couple of work colleagues for an exhibition opening in town. This house had a great location with easy walking distance to everywhere we wanted to be! The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and had appliances for however you prefer your morning coffee/espeesso!"

"The house was near shopping and the Marfa Light viewing area. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was cleaning supplies to use and extra towels, shampoo and conditioner & body wash. Great water heater &water pressure! issues during our stay."

"It is close to the highway so you can definitely hear highway noise (though it is Marfa and not Houston) and there is also a railroad not too far away so a train came through 6am. It IS camping and there were dogs around that were barking so you could hear them. The facilities were great though! We stayed in teepees that were awesome! "
