"Description of house is accurate. It had everything we could possibly need or want. It is definitely remote but those stars you could see so vividly. Bob is informative and really nice by messenger. Owners were not present during our stay but regardless it wouldn’t have been an issue for me. Glad we pre-bought our snacks/drinks because there are no grocery stores or gas station near by. We drove to Big Bend everyday to hike and we bought a couple of things from a small grocery store to cookout...

"The bank was a great stay for 1 night. I found everything I needed inside the room. Check in process was easy and smooth. The location was a bit hard to find. I would recommend adding some signs for the main road to make it easier to locate."

"We loved our 10 night stay! The porch was beautiful and perfect for starry nights and peaceful days. There is lots of great furniture in multiple outdoor spots to enjoy the property.We were able to explore the Christmas mountains from the back door, and drive to BBNP and BBRSP for hiking. "Perfect location and wonderful facilities. It was perfect for our group (me, my daughter and niece). The location itself had everything we need, esp with the cantina storage and kitchen situation. We loved the fire pit outside our room and the views were amazing. Star gazing each night was magnificent. The only negative comment is the water pressure in the shower - after a long day of hiking and dust the barely there shower was less than satisfying. Will definitely stay again!!"

"It is everything I read in previous reviews and more. Ross was the most amazing host. We saw deer, chipmunks, jackrabbits and a coyote at the property. We climbed the local mountain out back every morning and drank in the sunset every evening. High-clearance vehicle is a must to get up the trail to the cabin but easily manageable in our front-wheel drive SUV. I don't want to spoil any more. If you are going to spend some time in and around Big Bend and don't want to slum it out in Terlingua...

"Super cool place! My husband and I had a blast. We brought two coolers and our water and we chilled out and just loved it. It’s roughing it a little but, but nothing that people who like to camp can’t handle. We will be back! "
