"If you are looking for piece and quiet, this is your place. The house is very cute, clean, and comfortable. The Paula, host is responsive and easy to work with. It is located away from busy streets, and big city, but there is a wonderful bakery about 3 km away as well as restaurants. We didn’t try the restaurants, but the bakery is wonderful. This was a great find, and I would recommend this place to my friends and family."

"We really loved this out of the way find which proved a good base for discovering the delights of central Portugal: Gois with river beach, Figueira da Foz, Coimbra, all in good striking distance (with car) and Denise has plenty of further suggestions. Handy supermarket, nice garden and relaxing place to chill (as my daughter says)."

"15 jours parfait, l'appartement est très bien situé dans Luso, à proximité du centre et de ses boutiques, bar et restaurants, du parc avec son lac, piscine municipal, de la fontaine de Luso. "This house is charming and has lots to offer in warmer weather than March. Luckily the fireplace in the main living area had a blower and there were two heaters because there is no central heat. We blew the fuses several times using the heaters and hot water or cooking. Electricity is lacking and the listing says there is an oven, washing machine and two showers, this is not so. Also the stove is a two burner cooktop . BUT...besides the inaccurate amenities we enjoyed the ambiance of the house...

"In many respects, I feel privileged to have been able to stay in this house. Our host, Pedro, was superbly welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. Thank you Pedro!! The house dates from before 1640 (according to an old map). It is on an ancient Roman road, which is part of a pilgrimage camino. The house oozes with character. But it is also quirky, and not always user-friendly, especially to an older, mobility-challenged person. The steps to enter the house are steep and awkward. The...
