A lot we could have done but we dod a lot of walking, reading, talking and game playing ad well as visits with nearby family. The fantastic Sangre de Christo mountains are stunning at all hours of the day or night. Amazing stars, snow and wildlife -- deer and elk. "We had our best Christmas visit to CO yet when staying for 10 days in this great property! Only 20 minutes from our son's house in Penrose, minutes from stores, restaurants, gas, museums. So nice to relax in a beautifully decorated home with comfortable beds, roomy bathrooms, all the accessories you could need, and to be able to cook a full Christmas dinner for the family with a large table to eat around and a living room with huge TV where we enjoyed watching the seasonal specials. "We booked this home for a night knowing that a possible blizzard was in the forecast and I'm very glad we did, and not just because we didn't have to drive 100 miles in a blizzard. The home was cozy, comfortable, and very clean. Our three-year-old loved the toys in the living room. Though we didn't utilize most of the kitchen and other amenities, it definitely has everything one would need for a longer stay.
