"This was more than a hotel it was more of an experience. Even the name is unique, ‘VanHa Maamies Oy’*1 is not a name that easily rolls off the tongue. The resort – we found out later that it had been a residential agricultural college, with large dormitory buildings for males and females – comprised several other buildings all looking old and tired. "Overall, the room was good although there should be a tv in every room which we didnt have. It wasnt fair that some guests had a tv when we had to watch our phones. The toilet and shower were overall clean. The fridge and microwave in the room were a bonus however we have stayed here before and other rooms do not have this. It was quiet in the nights and the room temperature were always warm. Thank you again for a lovely stay in rovaniemi."

"We stayed in the igloos and cooked and ate meals both in the igloo and also dinner in the restaurant. 1. Staff were amazing and lovely 2. Food and wine options for dinner and the cosy restaurant was delightful and enjoyable 3. We also cooked and ate in our igloo and the kitchen provided all the kitchen items we needed and were happy for us to drop things off to be cleaned 4.
