"Over all the Twice Brewed Pub/Inn was a lovely place. The staff were warm and friendly and the food and beers were great. I be only had two concerns. The first was all rooms were on the second floor only accessible by a steep stair case. The second concern was in our bathroom shower. The faucet was in very poor repair. The first night it was very difficult to get either the water flow side and the heat side was extremely hard to turn for proper adjustment. The second night I was unable to get...

"The String Of Horses was an amazing place to stay. A quietly located inn it has superbly appointed rooms - the bathroom was amazing and the bed large and so comfortable; a lively restaurant serving quality high food and comfortable bar with an open fireplace. Staff are friendly and provide an amazing service from front of house and throughout the bar and restaurant. The breakfast service is high quality too with lovely food prepared to order. Well worth a visit and we’ll be back 👍"

"Very friendly staff in popular and welcoming village local. We only stayed one night and didn't eat here though the menu looked great. Obviously popular with locals and tourists alike for a small village it was busy on the Saturday night we stayed. Room was clean and comfortable though dated. The bed was a bit older than some but perfectly pleasant. The surrounding area is stunning with plenty to do within a short drive and lots of walking on your doorstep. Overall a most enjoyable stay. "

"Horrendous journey to the Fox and Pheasant. Worried we would miss the dinner cut off time we called through. Been traveling for over 10 hours! No problem arrive very tied to a lovely bowl of soup. Feel in to bed and had an amazing sleep. Set off next morning after a fantastic breakfast and a lovely packed lunch. Defo stop off again"

"As a key worker I booked online money was taken , we received an email direct from the hotel confirming our booking. we arrived after a 5 hour drive to find the hotel closed! Not happy with never book again."

"Arrived about 4.30, had not noticed when booking that there was no car parking, nor was there any available outside. We tried to gain admittance to ask for advice on where to park but noonecwas around despite the fact that the website claims that the desk is open all day 7.30am to 11.00pm. We finally gave up and stayed elsewhere. "

"First time away with our dog and could not have picked a better place. Anne(owner/host) very welcoming and cannot do enough for you. Plenty of logs for the fire, bottle of wine, fresh eggs, caramel shortcake what a welcome package, don’t think you would get this type of welcome from many places. The lodge was lovely, all the amenities you could need and more, plenty of fresh towels and bedding, the view from the living room was amazing.
