"Beautiful gardens to enjoy in front and back, spacious rooms. Close to many sites, yet not in the city. Grocery store close however a but car is required. Hosts were very gracious and close by. Library, piano and harp adorn this stone decor. Truly worth the stay. "

It's up in the hills surrounded by farmland and barely touched by tourism, which we loved, but is rarely more than 30 minutes away from beaches, lagoons, old towns and farmers markets around the area. "A nice villa in an excellent location for all the excellent beaches, but in need of some upgrading. External Walls need painting, some of the bathrooms need updating and the dishwasher and toaster didn’t work. The owners did get someone in immediately to repair the dishwasher , but it still leaked when they had gone."

There is an elevator that helped the older people and of course the children loved the ping pong table and pool. "I’ve been holidaying in Portugal down south for 40 years and we wanted to try a different area- it did not disappoint! The area is wonderful Inc the lagoon, the castle etc and we absolutely loved this villa, it made our family holiday so enjoyable, especially with all of the kids items. "We loved the house , modern, tastefully decorated. Fab garden and nice and quiet as is the resort. Local beach is 10 mins away by car and stunning. More like a surfing beach as waves are huge. Definitely recommend the house. The resort has a great golf course, some tennis and oaddle courts and a club house. A great week for my family"
